Lincoln, Nebraska State Library Engagement \\ Mattea & Ryan

When we first began dreaming up engagement session ideas, Mattea and Ryan knew they had one major location they wanted to check off their list - a library. So we immediately began looking around for the most interesting libraries that we could find and we ended up landing on The State Library in Lincoln, NE! This with was easily one of the most beautiful buildings I've had the pleasure of shooting in and to be able to combine that with the love of these two incredible individuals was truly an awesome experience!

We started our session simply meandering the building in awe and shooting within the library itself. At first it was all very overwhelming - my eyes just kept wandering trying to take in all the details and it took me several minutes to calm myself down and actually focus haha. After that, we made our way outside to shoot around one of the entrances and incorporate some of the architecture and natural features to help frame the images and my vision. Finally we ended the day aimlessly walking and exploring the streets of downtown Lincoln near UNL and ended the evening with a fantastic meal at Lazlo's - one of my favorite restaurants from when I used to live there.

As much as love and most often shoot in nature, this session with Mattea and Ryan was an awesome change of pace and is fairly reflective of how their wedding day will also go in just a few short months this May.
Can. Not. Wait. :)
