Why I’m a wedding photographer…

My favorite part about being a wedding photographer is getting to know new people, hearing their stories, and being able to documenting some of the best moments in life. I’m a firm believe that in order to do this in the most authentic way, real relationships and connections need to be made so that who you are can be documented and told in truth.

I document all my weddings with a balance of photojournalism and relaxed posing but only when necessary. As much as possible, I want my couples to focus on simply showing up emotionally by choosing to be present and in the moment on their wedding day and leave all the photo taking to me so that their own emotions, their love for one another, and who they are shine through without distractions.

I’m a big advocate of “quality over quantity” and that investing in a photographer that you can connect with and whose work you truly love (not just settling for) is one of the most important decisions you will make while planning your wedding. No matter how you utilize your wedding budget, at the end of the day when the food is gone, the decorations are taken down, and all your guest have gone home, the only one thing left over to help you remember such an special day in your life is your photos. :)
